According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is determined to continue developing their mixed reality headset, the Vision Pro. According to Gurman, the company has been discussing the appropriate course of action for its product following underwhelming sales. However, it has ultimately decided to proceed with two distinct models. The first model aims to resolve the most common concerns about the initial product, namely its heavy weight and high cost of $3,500 (£ 2665).
Aside from the less expensive and more lightweight Vision Pro, which may be challenging to produce given the back-and-forth tariff decisions of the current Trump’s administration, Apple is allegedly working on a second version that would enable users to connect to their Macs, stream content onto their screen, and utilize business software or enterprise applications.
Accordingly, Gurman outlines that CEO Tim Cook’s ultimate ambition is to create lightweight augmented reality glasses that can be worn throughout the day without any burden on the head.
