It comes with a 12 MP front-facing selfie camera which is new for Apple. Additionally, it uses Apple’s new “Photonic Engine” to make the images more realistic than before.

3. Rear Camera

Not to leave the rear camera “behind” (get it), it comes with a 48 MP main camera, 12 MP telephoto, and 12 MP wide camera. To be honest, I don’t really need to go in-depth for this because iPhone is widely known for its camera results.

It can take amazing photos even in low light conditions, and with the increased 48 MP lens, the images are going to be amazing. 

4. iOS

Other than the looks of the iPhone, the iOS has also been upgraded to iOS 16. It may look somewhat similar to the iOS 15, with a few differences. 

Now you have full control over how you want to customize the lock screen. Other than that, it offers homepages with apps that are used more frequently.

Furthermore, you can set up an iCloud photo library and can share them with anyone you like, but it does come with a drawback. 

Many of the photos in the groups will be similar. There are many more things to discuss in iOS 16 alone, but that’s a topic for another time.

5. Satellite Connectivity

This feature will be especially useful if you enjoy hiking or exploring in general. Just imagine you’re in an area where you can’t get any reception, and you get in an accident. You can easily connect to a satellite and call for help.

A drawback of this feature is that it’s only free for the first 2 years of the phone. Once the 2-year time period has expired, you won’t be able to use this service without getting the subscription.

6. Pro Motion Display

Another great addition to the iPhone 14 Pro Max is the addition of something called “Pro Motion Display.” The purpose of this feature is to control the refresh rate of the screen.

Meaning if you’re scrolling on the screen, the screen’s refresh rate will be 120 Hz refresh rate, but as soon as you stop moving or are on a static page, the refresh will drop down to 1 Hz.

It may not seem something important, but if you’re looking for ways to save battery, then these features can help you do that.

In addition to changing the refresh rate limit to 1 Hz, Apple has also created something called “Always On Display.” These features can help you keep updated with all of the notifications while saving a ton of battery life.

7. Chipset

The chipset that is being used in the iPhone 14 Pro Max is the A16 Bionic chipset. In terms of power and performance capability is leagues ahead of the A13 Bionic chip that was released almost 3 years ago. 

However, in terms of performance is not a very big jump from the last year’s A15 Bionic chipset. That’s why the A16 Bionic chipset is only available in the pro model.

Still, it’s one of the best chipsets in the market, which is only second to the Apple M2 chipset for mac books.

8. Design

Apple is so confident in the design of its iPhone line that they don’t worry about changing it at all. They know that the sleek and sharp edge of the phone is something that their consumer base love, and it has, in turn, become the brand identity of the iPhone.

They have almost the same color options as the previous model, with the exception of purple (which is something else). Unlike other brands that keep on experimenting with the design of their phones, Apple has stuck to its guns and kept on using the same design.

Overall the iPhone 14 Pro Max is an amazing phone for anyone looking to upgrade to the latest model. However, buying this device can be a bit of an issue.
